This is a beautiful 4 ct raw moldavite over an inch long and half an inch wide from the Czech Republic that has been wrapped in polished 20 gauge Argentium sterling silver. This tension held pendant was created by hand wrapping the silver around the bottom into two swirling patterns, and then again around at the top where the piece is bailed from behind. This elegant but minimalist wrap helps to accentuate the natural beauty of this otherworldly stone, creating a true showpiece.

About this gemstone: Moldavite is the product of a meteor strike that took place in the Moldau Valley in what is now the Czech Republic more than 14 million years ago, Moldavite is a olive green tektite that was formed from the impact created by the heat and kinetic energy of the meteor striking the sand, creating a special type of gemstone that has some of the properties of desert glass, but others that are unique, with flecks of the meteor itself strewn throughout the stone.

The pendant comes standard with an 18" sterling silver plated necklace. There are necklace options in leather, solid sterling silver, and solid oxidized sterling silver available. We can also lengthen the extensions and have longer necklaces available. If you need a longer length, please let us know in the notes.
