In apart, the book also introduces Zhang Daqian in terms of the artistic activities he involved in, his masterpieces, his collection and loss of many ancient calligraphic works and great paintings, his friends and relatives, and also his emotional life. During the twenty-four years of interview in Japan, the author often traveled with Zhang Daqian who had settled overseas and they often shared their opinions on both ancient and current people and events.
