This lithographic print was made from an original creative reproduction of the Andy Warhol masterpiece, "Mickey Mouse" Currently residing in the Tate/National Galleries of Scotland. Reference: 1981. Original drawing that became a screen print on paper. 33 x 23" (84 x 59 cm). This image of the Disney character Mickey Mouse belongs to a portfolio of ten screen prints called 'Myths' published in 1981. The series is based on characters from American Popular culture which have become icons, defining different generations. It includes the likes of Superman, Dracula, Santa Claus and Uncle Sam. All the prints are inlaid with diamond dust, a by-product of making of industrial-grade diamonds. It is sprinkled on to the ink while still wet. Lithograph is printed on 13 x 16.5 inch paper and image size is 11 x 14. This is one of a Limited Edition printing of 300. Shown framed for display purposes only and not included. Each is hand-numbered in pencil and signed in the plate. Printed on quality archival, acid-free conservation paper. Excellent condition and never framed.
