Description
Aluminum Build Plate was designed to be used as heated build surface of typical 3d printer with 200 x 200 mm XY build area, it is compatible with MK1, MK2, MK2A and MK2B heat bed PCBs. Material is 3mm thick T6061-T6 aluminum alloy. Plate has sufficient thickness to prevent twists and maintain flatness across whole building area, which is necessary for first layer of print to stick to the surface. Plate uses countersunk mounting screws to eliminate possibility of hot end to run into a screw and damage itself. Another convenient feature is the milled channel for thermistor installation on the bottom of the plate. This feature makes assembly easy and clean, thermistor wiring is hidden in between plate and heated bed PCB.

Compatibility and usage note:
Plate is compatible with MK2A 300x300 heated bed PCB sold in our store. Holes positions are matching MK2A 300x300 PCB mounting holes.
Plate has cutout necessary to clear with MK2A 300x300 connection pads.
Plate can also be used with 300x300 silicone heaters.
Use of inductive sensor and automated mesh bed leveling is strongly suggested to counteract any small variations in height across whole print area.

Please read the following compatibility note:
If you will use this plate with MK2A/B PCB heated bed, you need to cover connection pads with kapton tape, on the side where PCB meets with aluminum plate.
MK1 type heated bed (original Prusa design) is fully compatible, since it has solder pads on one bottom side only.
MK1/MK2/A/B heated beds will only allow 4-point mounintg.
Silicone or Kapton heater with sticky base is the best match, they will allow for 3 point mounting and easy level adjustment.
This is evolution of popular aluminum heated build plate for 3D Printer. V2 plate design has new feature - 3 point adjustment, but feature will require compatible Y carriage with the middle hole. Non PCB heater such as silicone heater is also needed for 3 point adjustment. We have both - compatible Y-carriage and silicone heaters in our store.
