1. JHS Bonsai 9-Way Screamer Overdrive Guitar Effects Pedal

Feature

The Bonsai is our tribute to one of the greatest pedals ever created, the Tube Screamer
A simple rotary knob switches through nine classic, vintage, rare, or hard to find variations of the Screamer
The Bonsai does not emulate these pedals, it is exact replications of these nine units all housed in one box
Choosing a mode on the Bonsai rotary actually activates components specific to each unit

Description

In the late 1970's the overdrive pedal was arguably perfected when Japanese engineers designed the sound that we now know as the heart and soul of so many of our favorite artists, recordings and sounds. Players ranging from The Edge, Trey Anastasia, Buddy Guy, Kirk Hammett, John Mayer, SRV, Carlos Santana and thousands more from every possible genre have utilized and depended on this classic iconic green box. If a single effect pedal was chosen to board a Voyager 3 mission and be solely responsible for showing the universe the sound of overdrive, it would undoubtable be Tube Screamer. It is probably the most produced and sold pedal in the history of guitar pedals! The Bonsai is our tribute to one of the greatest pedals ever created.

Description

The Big Muff fuzz has been around so long, been on so many classic recordings, and been through so many variations that every guitarist out there has a favorite version of its iconic tone. JHS wanted to pay tribute to that undeniably classic fuzz pedal, but we couldnt come to a consensus about which Muff was king. With the Muffuletta, our indecision is your gain. We crammed five all-analog re-creations of the pedals most beloved tones into this box. We even threw in a JHS-exclusive tone that is our take on the historic stomp. No matter what Big Muff era you prefer, you can get em all in the JHS Muffuletta fuzz pedal.

The first in a collaboration between PaxAM, Ryan Adams, and JHS Pedals, the VCR delivers Adamss identifiable clean tone with a single stomp. The onboard reverb, chorus, and boost effects are inspired by the tones of The Cure, The Smiths, and a hefty dose of 1980s angst. And though those tones are easy to pull out of the VCR, its easy to blend all three effects to your individual taste. Basically, the VCR Ryan Adams signature reverb/chorus/boost pedal gives you all the good things about 1980s guitar tone in a single, straightforward stompbox.

5. JHS Ernie Ball VP Jr."Active/No Loss" Mod

Feature

JHS mod eliminates ALL of the noise, tone loss, and removes the improper load on your signal
Makes your EB Volume active and buffered with JHS buffer circuitry.
Give you the best clean tone you may have ever had
Modded by JHS Pedals
Power with 9v DC Negative power supply! This pedal consumes less than 100mA

Description

The Ernie Ball volume pedal is one of the most used pedals out there, but surprisingly it has BIG issues. We exposed this in our Volume Pedal Woes (Active/No Loss Mod) article and have developed a mod that cures all the issues making this volume an awesome tool for more than just swells! We install our Buffered Splitter circuit to give you two truly isolated outputs for tuner and mono out. This eliminates ALL of the noise, tone loss, and removes the improper load on your signal. For those of you who want to use the tuner out function, this is a must have fix. The biggest benefit of this mod is that it makes your EB Volume active and buffered with our buffer circuitry. This will give you the best clean tone you may have ever had because it will drive your long path to your amp. The pedal in its stock condition is drastically hurting your tone (even when you're not using the tuner out). Because we install our active buffered circuitry, you will now need to power the unit. Use any standard 9v DC Negative power supply and your good to go! This pedal consumes less than 100mA.

Toggle up is Stock Triangle Muff distortionToggle middle provides a more open/powerful distortion Toggle down will give you more saturation and full raging fuzz The Gate knob lets you dial in the exact right amount of spitty gated fuzz ***DISCLAIMER*** After the Mod perform, the 9V battery will become disabled. We have noticed recently in the painted cases and screen printed graphics on the EHX pedals seem to be a lot more brittle and fragile then earlier runs...in some cases the new EHX pedals even arrive to us with minor flaws right out-of-the-box. We do our best to care for these pedals during the Mod Shop process, but because of the unusual quantity that come to us "blem" we will not guarantee the cosmetic condition of EHX pedals we mod will be perfect, furthermore we cannot take responsibility for any minor scuff, scratches, small paint chips that may appear on EHX pedals.

8. JHS Green Russian Pi Moscow Mod Fuzz Effects Pedal

Feature

Mode 1 for Lower Gain Synth-Style Gated Fuzz
Mode 2 for High Gain Oscillating Synth Fuzz
Toggle Switches for Mode 1, Mode 2 or Stock; +/- Gain
60s Vintage Fuzz All The Way to Modern Sludge Metal Tones

Description

EHX has released another classic Big Muff in the Green Russian, and we want to take it a step further. Weve created a mod that turns this classic fuzz/overdrive into a tone machine. On the left side of the pedal weve added two toggles, the lower toggle is the Mode toggle, and the upper toggle is the +/- toggle. The Mode toggle has three positions: down is Mode 1, middle is off or stock mode, and up is Mode 2. When in the stock position none of the other modifications will affect the sound. When in Mode 1 you will have a lower gain synth style gated fuzz sound. Experiment with all the knobs to see what kind of sounds you can get. When in Mode 2, you have a high gain synth fuzz sound that will give you crazy oscillation sounds that are affected by putting all the knobs at different settings. The +/-toggle does what it sounds like... gives you less or more! The knob on the ride side of the pedal acts as a gain control for the feedback within the pedal. Turned all the way clockwise the feedback is fully enabled. All the way counter-clockwise is fully stock This mod goes from 60s classic rock vintage fuzz all the way to face melting modern sludge metal tones!

9. JHS Pedals EHX OpAmp Muff "Pumpkin Patch" Mod

Description

Take a trip to the pumpkin patch with our EHX OpAmp Big Muff "Pumpkin Patch" mod! This mod gets you ready to "carve" deep into that tone you love from the newly reissued OpAmp Big Muff. Enter the pumpkin patch through the "Gate" toggle, which gives you two different gate strength options for more compressed tones and "vine'y" bite.

- Gate Toggle Down is stock OpAmp Big Muff distortion

- Gate Toggle Middle is the highest gate setting

- GateToggle Up is the lower gate setting

Find the very middle of the pumpkin patch with our Mids Knob. You will notice more low mids on the pedal overall while we also give you the ability to "pick" the perfect frequencies to boost them even more!

10. JHS Lucky Cat Delay Guitar Effects Pedal, Pink

Feature

A simple digital delay/echo that has everything you need and nothing you don't
Time is a manual control for the length of the repeats up to 1000ms, and Ratio controls the subdivision of the tap tempo
Mix controls the volume of the repeats, from fully clean signal to fully wet
Repeats controls the amount of repeats, from one repeat to infinite, and Darken works as an EQ for the repeats
Mod 1 is a subtle modulation that gives the delay just the right amount of movement without being overwhelming
Mod 2 is a deeper modulation that gives you a seasick sound for those parts you want drenched in modulation
On the left side of the Lucky Cat, you'll find a dip switch for Vintage Tape/Digital Clean tones

Description

The Lucky Cat Delay has basic controls consisting of Time, Mix, Ratio, Repeats, Darken (EQ), and a Modulation toggle. Time is a manual control for the length of the repeats up to 1000ms. Mix controls the volume of the repeats, from fully clean signal to fully wet. Ratio controls the subdivision of the tap tempo with options of quarter note, dotted eighth note, eighth note, and triplets. Repeats controls the amount of repeats you will hear, from one repeat to infinite. The Lucky Cat will not do analog delay oscillation, but will do a musical digital oscillation when the repeats are maxed out and you play with the Time control. The Darken control works as an EQ for the repeats only. When fully clockwise the tone of the delay is the fully digital, unaffected sound. As you turn counter-clockwise the delay will darken in tone giving you an array of delay tones at your fingertips. The Modulation toggle has two modulation settings, Mod 1 and Mod 2, with the center setting disengaging the modulation. Mod 1 is a subtle modulation that gives the delay just the right amount of movement without being overwhelming. Mod 2 is a deeper modulation that gives you a seasick sound for those parts you want drenched in modulation. On the left side of the Lucky Cat, youll find a dip switch for Vintage Tape/Digital Clean tones. In Vintage Tape mode, youll find a more compressed slightly driven echo like vintage tape delays. In Digital Clean mode the echo is crisp and clean for those pristine and chirpy delay sounds. On the right side of the pedal, youll also find an external tap jack so you can control the tempo of your delay with an external tap pedal.
