How to Use:
1. Soak the sharpening stone into water for 5 minutes, then put it on a steady surface such as a table or a desk.
2. First use the one side for fine grinding in 10~30 degree angle, push the knife out with a little force, and then gently retracted. This process takes about 15 minutes.
3. Then use the other side to polish your knife, don't force too much. This process takes about 10 minutes.
4. After sharpening the knife, clean the knife with wet cloth or water, then dry it.
5. Use a soft brush to clean the oil sharpening stone, then placed in a ventilated place out to dry.
Attention:
1. Please use whetstone evenly. If stone is not flat, use sand paper or correct stone to remove depression.

The Norton 24450 Japanese-style 1000/4000-grit combination waterstone creates an abrasive slurry for effective sharpening, with 1000 grit on one face for establishing a cutting edge, and 4000 grit on the opposite face for maintaining and refining cutting edges; this 1 x 8 x 3 inch (H x W x D) stone, suitable for bench use, cleans up easily with water, and comes encased in a blue plastic hinged box. (H is height, the vertical distance from lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back.)
