Description
This Mt. Jiri daejak (large beak) jaksul (sparrow's beak) nokcha garu (green tea powder) is a taste of early summer in your teacup. Hand plucking only the tender buds and leaves of mid May, after Ipha (the beginning of summer), the farmers then roast the buds and leaves to prevent any oxidation, thereby maintaining the delicate green color and subtle flavors and scents of the finest daejak tea, which is then ceramic ball milled into a fine powder.Teas Unique is dedicated to bringing the finest organic, single estate, artisan, jaksul (sparrow's beak) whole leaf and powder teas from Korea to the international market. Jaksul refers to the shape of the iconic "bud and two leaves" found at the tip of spring growth on the camellia sinensus bush. The two spreading leaves resemble an open bird's beak and the emerging bud looks like its tongue sticking out.
Jaksulcha is handpicked, artisan, whole leaf tea. It is among the finest in the world. We import directly from the farmers who produce our teas and strive to bring the most delicious pure teas from all of the major growing regions of Korea to our international customers.
