Description

The Foody 12 Hydroponic gardening system is a fresh produce powerhouse. Grow your own fruits, flowers, vegetables and herbs year round in a little more than 2 square feet of floor space. Perfect for placement in front of well-lit windows, or on patios and balconies. Purchase a lighting system separately for year-round growing. This system features an innovative deep water technology that makes it the most productive vertical hydroponic system on the market. The standard Foody 12 tower grows 44 plants in removable net pots (for easy planting and harvesting). Each tower comes complete with organic based nutrients, salt meter, pH control kit, rooting plugs, and directions. The towers include both anti-oxidant and UV reduction elements that help reduce algae formation. No need for messy potting soil. NOTE: Hydroponic systems like this one require that nutrient levels and pH levels are monitored and managed. Done right, a hydroponic system will easily surpass soil-based systems in plant quality and production. If you are transplanting plant starts, we recommend rinsing all or most of the soil off of the roots prior to placing the plants into the net pots. Then fill in around and on top of the roots with the provided clay pebbles. What to Grow: The options are endless, but we have seen great success with herbs of all kinds, red and green lettuces, spinach, strawberries, Swiss chard, kale, other leafy greens, etc. (Not for root crops such as beets, carrots, potatoes.)
