It features copper wiring with a silver colored plastic sheathing, and the long lasting LEDs are rated for 70,000 hours, which means you could leave it lit up constantly for 8 years before the LEDs would expire! With normal usage, they should last a lifetime. It requires 3 AA batteries and overall measures 20 feet long.
