Description

This lithographic print was made from an original creative reproduction of the Andy Warhol masterpiece, "The Beatles" Currently residing in various private collections. Reference: 1980. Watercolor and ink. Later, a silkscreen poster. 24 x 36" (60 x 91 cm). Andy Warhol started off his career as a commercial illustrator, and his distinctive style earned him immediate success. In 1980, a book called 'The Beatles' was published about the British pop group. Warhol designed the front cover which is based on a photograph by the celebrity photographer Dezo Hoffmann. He then drew a pencil sketch of the Beatles and later a poster print of 16 images. Lithograph is printed on 13 x 16.5 inch paper and image size is 11 x 14. This is one of a Limited Edition printing of 300. Shown framed for display purposes only and not included. Each is hand-numbered in pencil and signed in the plate. Printed on quality archival, acid-free conservation paper. Excellent condition and never framed. Perfect size for reasonably priced mat and frame. Please ask any questions before the purchase.
