Description

This 6 piece carving chisel set is made by a small and highly respected tool manufacturer in the Czech Republic and is of exceptional quality. The set contains 6 tools: 3 knives (large carving knife with 1 7/8" blade, chip carving knife and small detail knife), straight chisel 1/2" wide, straight gouge 3/8" wide and V tool 1/4" wide. Blades are made from highly allowed Cr-Mn steel and heat treated to HRc 55. Chisel handles are European Beech with an octagonal cross section. Knife blades range in length from 1 1/8" to 1 7/8" and carving blades are 3 1/2" long. Knife handles are are 4 " long by 5/8" wide and chisels handles are 4 " long by 7?/8" wide. As with all fine carving tools, these will need final sharpening/honing to fully refine the edges before use. This chisel set is an excellent value for good quality tools and will make the perfect starter carving set or addition to an existing set.
