Note that these clips are not as easy to open as some other clips might be, meaning they do require firm pressure to pull apart. This, along with a soft locking lever in the rear, makes it more difficult for small children to open and provides a secure hold. See 3rd thumbnail photo for how to open clip.

These clips grip best on thicker material. They are more likely to slide on thinner fabrics. So if you are attaching these to a layer of t-shirt, for example, you'll want to bunch up the edge of the t-shirt or fold it multiple times to secure a better grip.

Clips have a "soft" locking mechanism in the back that makes it slightly more difficult for small children to open the clips (see 3rd thumbnail image). Opening the clip is a 2-step process. First, slightly lift the lever in the rear to unlock. Then, pull the front lip and the rear lever up and towards each other at the same time.
