Any oils, soap scum, dirt and residue on a smooth surface will not let any suction cup stick for any length of time ~ If you any soap cleaner or glass cleaner to clean area where the suction cup is to go. These cleaners may leave a residue that may keep suction cup from sticking. Surfaces can be cleaned with rubbing alcohol ~~ It will remove residue that other products won't - Test surface first to make sure the rubbing alcohol will not harm it ~~ Before applying clean off each suction cup completely to make sure there is no residue or debris on them ~~ Hold it under running water so that the water streams over the inside and outside of the cup ~~ You may even need to wash it if it's extremely dirty ~~ After cleaning do not touch inside suction cup with your hands before applying for it will leave a oily residue from your hands. Press the suction cups down on your preferred surface. You will have to use some upper-body strength and finger muscles to press the cup down hard.
