Stopper Keeps Fat Out of Spout
The trouble with basic fat separators is that when you pour in the liquid, it also fills the spout. The fat then rises to the top in both cup and spout, and what's in the spout will unavoidably get poured out along with your supposedly de-fatted liquid. The solution: Bellemain's stopper creates a "plug" of air that fills the spout and prevents any liquid from entering. After the fat has solidified, pull out the stopper and pour out your flawlessly-fat free broth!

High Front Prevents Pouring Spills
The other problem with basic fat separators is that when you tilt them to pour out the de-fatted liquid, the congealed fat on top sloshes over the rim. The Bellemain Fat Separator prevents that with a high-rise front.
