Description

The Fantasia brand of soapstone animal figurines are made by Fantasia's master craftsmen who hand carve each piece in Peru into over 80 different wonderful shapes. The artisans that do these carvings use hand tools and dremels to create each piece by hand, and with over 85 years combined experience in stonecrafting their skill allows every detail in each piece is brought to life. These figurines stand on their own and are perfect for collectors, curio cabinets, party favors, gifts for children and adults, and crafts like wire wrapping so they can be worn as a pendant.

Soapstone is a Talc-Schist with a MOH's hardness of 2.5 which makes it perfect for carving. Soapstone forms in the earth in a large range of colors which gives each piece a unique look and character. Some of the many colors you might receive for your order include brown, black, blue, teal, white, red, grey, yellow, and more. The average piece is the perfect size at around 1 inch long (may vary by 1/4 inch) and as a natural earth mined stone that is hand carved no two pieces will be exactly the same so the shape of each piece may vary slightly.
