Kordon Mist-Air aquarium air stones are high quality aerators for aquariums and ponds, fresh or salt. Mist-Air stones are made of minute uniform-sized glass spheres which are resin-bonded together in a patented process to provide years of excellent service, these air stones offer the highest standards of performance and durability over traditional wood, fused-sand and porous-plastic air stones. Mist-Air air stones help to increase the oxygenation of aquarium water by increasing the circulation in general as well as offering more surface area for oxygen exchange. All air stones are susceptible to clogging due to algae, bacteria or dust from the incoming air and may require replacing every few months. Soaking Mist-Air stones in a bleach solution for 30 minutes and then rinsing well may help to keep them "open" (clog-free) and running freely.
