Description

This artwork is the art panel that printed on Japanese traditional paper WASHI. The work consists of three prints. WASHI comes from "WA" meaning Japan and "SHI" meaning paper, and the term is only used to describe paper made by hand in the traditional manner. WASHI is natural white color paper with a thin ultra-fibrous look and feel. Print is clear and high resolution while still keeping the feel of WASHI. The work looks like to float on the wall, because the WASHI print is bigger than the wooden panel. The work will be printed after order, and shipped to you after I have inspected the quality. I will ship from Tokyo, Japan.

The works concept:
I think these photographs represent a "Bookmark" of memories which was shared people, places and times together. Then, is it possible to share some memories by viewing those "bookmarks" to someone who didn't share time and space together? I create the work by trial and error to get the answer for this question. But, I believe you and I can share these same memories when you view my work..."Bookmark". Because, if we are human, we should have same old memories in our DNA.
