High Torque at ALL Speeds TX, TXM, and TXB motors are Foredom's most powerful flex shaft machines with 1/3HP. They have permanent magnet DC motors that feature the latest in flex shaft technology. These ball bearing models utilize advanced rare earth magnets (in place of the wound fields in our universal type SR motors) that deliver more torque at the low end and throughout the entire speed range of 500 to 15,000 RPM. No other flex shaft gives you greater control of the cutting tool, drill, or bur under any load. TX, TXM, and TXB motors come with standard 39 in. long flexible shafts and sheaths for connecting to any of Foredom's 20+ "quick disconnect in. handpieces. The TX hang-up model is also available in prepackaged kits TX300 and 5400. Foredom's permanent magnet motors require the use of a TXR, SXR, or EMX control. It shares all of the same specifications and comes supplied with Foredom's standard shaft and sheath. The TXR foot operated control included in this motor-control combination is a solid state control in a heavy duty plastic housing with extra wide design. The handpiece is not included - please review our extensive line for the handpiece that suits your application. The Foredom flex shaft system is designed to allow interchangeability of most handpieces.
