Brushes should be checked for wear periodically.
When new they are approximately 5/8" long.
Replace them when they have worn to 1/4".
Be sure to replace both motor brushes even if one of them is less worn than the other.

Description

Pair of motor brushes for all 1/6 Horsepower M.SR, M.SRM, M.SRB, M.SRH, M.SRMH and M.SRBH models, both 115 Volt for domestic use and 230 Volt for international use. Earlier models of Series SR motors (built prior to November 2005) are 1/8HP and use different brushes, part number: MP2019P.
