This tool is a herb chopper, or a salad chopper. So, grab this Mezzaluna when the recipe calls for chopped leafy greens or herbs. There are two ultra-sharp blades that are fixed into the unit, and since they are so sharp, they can be retracted back into the handle when stored. It is 3 simple steps to activate the blades. First, pull the tab out, second, push down on the tab until the blades appear, finally release tab. Now the mezzaluna is ready for use. The double blade provides efficient and effortless mincing or chopping by rocking the unit back and forth over the greens. The handle is shaped to fit the curve of your hand and has a soft touch grip making it comfortable to use. The mezzaluna is dishwasher safe - just leave the blades out when placing on the top rack.
