Description
I created this daiquiri / margarita / frozen cocktail ornament by cutting out the glass bowl shape, foot shape and two rectangles for the stem from clear glass. Next, I glued the pieces together so that there is a stem piece on both sides of the bowl and foot for strength. Then I sprinkled cherry red glass frit onto the bowl base. I also added some white frit to mimic the appearance of a frozen drink. The last step was to cover the red and white frits with a thick layer of clear frit so that when it melts it is sooth and shiny. I heated this ornament to 1480 degrees Fahrenheit.Once everything was fused I glued a small amount of white frit across the top of the glass to represent sugar or salt and heated it to 1380 degrees F. A piece of hi-temp wire has been embedded between the top layers of glass to serve as a hook for hanging and as a swizzle stick.
I have several of these in stock and while they are very similar they are not identical since they are completely handmade.
Each glass is approximately 1 1/2" wide and 3 1/2" long.
All of my items are in stock and ready to be shipped.
