The middle brace must be removed if you need to fold the beam. We do have "quick release" middle braces to make this process much faster sold separately if you are interested in this feature. The balance beam is covered with beautiful and tactile purple suede, and comes with black oxide coated steel braces.This is the only 8' full size balance beam on the market that can be folded up for storage and transportation, but maintains 100% of it's structural integrity due to a patent pending hinge system. The legs are optional, but if you choose to install the legs, then you must remove the middle leg (several screws) before you can fold for stow/storage.
