Steve Fulgoni, an engineer and woodturner, owner of Hurricane Tools, designed this handle for use with his professional woodturning tools, but they can be used with any standard woodturning tools. The handle is made from lightweight 6061-T6 aircraft grade aluminum. A lightweight handle gives better control and less fatigue than heavier steel handles. If you would like a heavier handle, the end cap screws off and you can add lead shot inside the handle. Simply turn your own plug and press it inside the tool at any position you like. The handle is available in various lengths but you can simply shorten the handle to any length you desire. There are a variety of tool holders (top end) for tool sizes of 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 5/8" and 3/4". The tool holders are replacable and sold separately.
