Dovo's 43 "Moustache" scissor is a precise 4.5" scissor for facial use, with an extremely-finely-serrated cutting edge built to endure exposure to tough beard hair without wearing out quickly. One should not use non-serrated razor-edge type hair cutting shears for trimming facial hair, as their edge will wear out quickly regardless of the steel composition. Essentially one uses the last inch or so of cutting length motion to trim with a beard scissor, and that's where this kind really shines. Dovo produces the 43 in 3 finishes; the base 43450 nickel model, this version 43454 with the oxidized finish (43450 & 43454 are not for professional use, because they cannot endure steam-sterilization, but have identical cutting quality), and the 43456 with satin-finished stainless steel (appropriate for professional use and steam-sterilzing). All the Dovo 43 scissors have the same cutting capacity, so if your skin's normal (nickel can cause an allergic reactions for a very few) and the scissor is exclusively for personal use the nickel or oxidized models will save some and cut identically; their drawback is that one must be more cognizant to keep them clean and dry, and an occasional application of light oil won't hurt.
