Description

DC Motors are used to power fans, windmills, generators and so much more. This particular model is open, exposing the components inside that make the motor function. As such, this is an effective and inexpensive tool for classroom demonstrations of DC motors, and electro-magnetic processes more generally. The magnets and the fan component are both removeable, allowing you to demonstrate the important role that the magnets play in running the motor. Includes two connecting posts to power the motor, which runs at about 1.5V, the equivalent of the power generated by a AA battery. Connect a battery holder to the posts and watch it go!
